Women’s Day Beer Tasting 2025

We had a full house on Saturday for our beer tasting for International Women’s Day. We tasted four beers made by amazing women in the beer industry and enjoyed an exciting pub quiz about women & beer.

Wilde Terf blend 22/23 (6.9%) by Brouwerij 3Fonteinen (Beersel) in collab with Brasserie de la Senne (Brussels). This beer is a blend of a special wheat beer, made from old loca wheat varieties and brewed by De la Senne, and then barrel aged on lambic barrels for 3 years, together with young lambic from 3Fonteinen.The result is a smooth and mildly sour beer, easy drinking and tasty, with a nice sparkle and freshness and a hint of strawberry in the aftertaste. #wildeterf #3fonteinen #lambiclovers #brasseriedelasenne #beertime

Blue Seadragon quadruple (10%) brewed by Brouwerij Hopsasam in Oudenaarde (Belgium). This red brown ale was barrel aged for 6 months on Calvados barrels. Belgoohoho hoppy winterbeer (8%) brewed by Brouwerij Belgoo in Sint-Pieters-Leeuw (Belgium). This orange golden winter ale was brewed with orange peel. The orange zest is quite present and gives the malty base a nice freshness and makes it an easy drinking beer, despite the 8% alcohol. Once the beer warmed up a bit the orange overpowered the rest of the flavours a little, but it's still an enjoyable beer #belgoohoho #winterbeer #belgianbeer #Christmasbeer #brouwerijbelgoo
