For this filtered alcoholfree beer they used the natural brewing process and worked with slow fermentation and a specific yeast that barely creates alcohol. This beer is full of delicious malty flavours: grainy, caramel and biscuit with a velvet smooth semi sweet finish. Spend two great days in Mainz, Germany, to meet some of my favourite #beerladies and judge a few flights of beer together. As always it was a great experience, the International Women's Trophy is well organized and a pleasure to be part of. I tasted many good beers! Gooisch Saison (6%) brewed by Gooische Bierbrouwerij in Hilversum (the Netherlands). This tasty #saison very recently won a silver medal at the Dutch Beer Challenge. It's brewed with locally grown Saint-Johns rye. The beer is dry and semi-bitter with a yeasty nose and some fruity esters. Postel dubbel (7%) brewed by Brouwerij Affligem (owner by Heineken) in Opwijk, Belgium This #abbeybeer in the traditional Belgian double style is full of grainy and roasted maltiness, with hints of caramel, liquorice and red fruits. Not too strong but full of flavour. The Postel Abbey in Mol is still around and the monks living there still make and sell several artisanal products (like cheeses and spices) but there is no brewing activity. #beeroftheday #postel #posteldubbel #dubbelbier #brouwerijaffligem #abdijbier #belgianbeer #beertime #darkale #brownbeer #instabeer #beerstagram #beerbeerbeer
