Tour de Gueze 2026 - I also visited Brouwerij Boon in Lembeek. This beautiful brewery was founded in 1975 by Frank Boon. He started out as a beer blender as he was very passionate about gueze beer. In 1986 he moved the business to this location and in 1990 he brewed his first lambic. The brewery has grown a lot since and is known for their geuze and other lambic blends. Duivelsbier blond (6%) brewed by Brouwerij Boon in Lembeek (Belgium). The Red Devils are playing tonight so I felt my beer of tonight should match the occasion. This blonde ale has a floral and malty aroma, is malty sweet and full bodied, but also has a good and lasting bitterness. The beer apparently "sprung from the devil's clutches" and goes back to 1883. Good memories of an epic goodbye party for the ABC judges at Banana Jam Cafe / AfroCaribean Brewing Company in Cape Town. On Saturday I visited the Abbey and brewery of Val Dieu with the people of Biergilde het Lindeke. It was very nice to see the beautiful domain and to have a sneak peek of their recently upgraded brewery. All their beers are brewed within the grounds of the Abbey. We got to taste several of their beers in the bar which was very enjoyable. Super Smooth fruited sour beer (5%) brewed by Aegir Project Brewery in Cape Town (South Africa) I brought back one of these beauties from my trip to SA last month and on drinking it again I was still as happy as when I had in the Aegir taproom. Super Smooth fruited sour beer (5%) brewed by Aegir Project Brewery in Cape Town (South Africa)
I brought back one of these beauties from my trip to SA last month and on drinking it again I was still as happy as when I had in the Aegir taproom.

Badass spicy honey blond (6%) brewed by Tipsy Tribe brewery in Koekelberg, Brussels (Belgium), for the What Women Want association. This blonde was made with honey and chili pepper and that is definitely noticeable. It has a sweet and full-bodied malt taste with notes of honey that come out in a long lasting aftertaste together with a pleasant spicy tingle. Good memories of an epic goodbye party for the ABC judges at Banana Jam Cafe / AfroCaribean Brewing Company in Cape Town. In fact, the evening was so much fun I barely took any photos😅 Delicious beers were had by all. 'Don't judge me' was brewed specially for the occasion, an amber ale brewed with rooibos. Yum! Super Smooth fruited sour beer (5%) brewed by Aegir Project Brewery in Cape Town (South Africa) I brought back one of these beauties from my trip to SA last month and on drinking it again I was still as happy as when I had in the Aegir taproom. This slightly sour beer was brewed with blue spirulina, mango, passion fruit and pineapple. It has a very pretty blue colour and a rich blue foam. The aroma is quite tropical. Badass spicy honey blond (6%) brewed by Tipsy Tribe brewery in Koekelberg, Brussels (Belgium), for the What Women Want association. This blonde was made with honey and chili pepper and that is definitely noticeable. It has a sweet and full-bodied malt taste with notes of honey that come out in a long lasting aftertaste together with a pleasant spicy tingle. Tour de Gueze 2026: Geuze blender De Cam in Gooik. Residing in a charming old farmhouse / brewery building dating back to 1515. De Cam has been here since 1992 and Karel Goddeau (in the last photo) has been their beer blender since 2000. They buy in their #Lambiek from other breweries and age it in old oak barrels from Pilsner Urquell (Csech Republic). Tasted the nectarine #lambic which was indeed as delicious as it sounds.
