Hoppiness is all about good craft beer and having a good time. Hoppiness stands for hoppy happiness. And the triple pun is intended as there are two happy rabbits hopping around in our garden. If you are lucky, they may even wander into the Hoppiness Tasting Room as they consider the whole house to be theirs.

Old lambic beer that was infused with cherry wood for several weeks. The result is a golden coloured beer that has a well balanced, mild sourness with tasty notes of wood.👌

On opening the can I get a strong fruity banana aroma, the taste is sweet, grainy and fruity. A nice and easy drinking organic ale.

Hop water by Tipsy Tribe Brewstillery in Koekelberg #Brussels.
This sparkling water is dry hopped with citra hops and makes for a refreshing drink with a lovely aroma. Zero calories but lots of flavour. Of course it's not beer, but definitely a good and original alternative for when you don't want to drink alcohol, for instance if you do #dryjanuary

Eylenbosch Whisky Symphony Gueuze (8.5%) by Brouwerij Eylenbosch in Kobbegem (Belgium).
A blend of 2 year old lambic aged for 8 months on whiskey barrels and then refermented in the bottle. This beer was specially made for the Tour de Gueze in 2024.
The result is a tasty and well balanced sour beer, with strong notes of wood and, once the beer is a bit warmed up, notes of whisky.

This blend was made for BXL beerfest 2022. After opening it I really wished I had another bottle. It's soo good!

The last day of 2024 is here and while I was making the traditional Dutch #oliebollen I did some reflection. As always the year went by too fast and when I scroll through my Instagram posts I am surprised by how many amazing things happened this year.

Working in beer has brought me so much joy and I am really grateful for everyone that has supported me and for all the lovely people that have joined my tours and tastings this year.

A few highlights: my beer tasting for International Women's Day, beer judging at the International Women's Trophy in Mainz, the Brewers Forum in Lille, Tour de Gueze, the opening of the Belgian Beer Weekend at Grand Place and becoming part of the team of guides at Cantillon.
