Wilde Terf blend 22/23 (6.9%) by Brouwerij 3Fonteinen (Beersel) in collab with Brasserie de la Senne (Brussels). This beer is a blend of a special wheat beer, made from old loca wheat varieties and brewed by De la Senne, and then barrel aged on lambic barrels for 3 years, together with young lambic from 3Fonteinen.The result is a smooth and mildly sour beer, easy drinking and tasty, with a nice sparkle and freshness and a hint of strawberry in the aftertaste. #wildeterf #3fonteinen #lambiclovers #brasseriedelasenne #beertime

Blue Seadragon quadruple (10%) brewed by Brouwerij Hopsasam in Oudenaarde (Belgium). This red brown ale was barrel aged for 6 months on Calvados barrels. The result is a strong beer to slowly sip from, it has a full bodied malty taste with notes of caramel and roasted grains together with nice notes of Calvados and warmth and sweetness from the alcohol. #belgianbeer #hopsasam #barrelagedbeer #belgianbeer #quadrupel

Belgoohoho hoppy winterbeer (8%) brewed by Brouwerij Belgoo in Sint-Pieters-Leeuw (Belgium). This orange golden winter ale was brewed with orange peel. The orange zest is quite present and gives the malty base a nice freshness and makes it an easy drinking beer, despite the 8% alcohol. Once the beer warmed up a bit the orange overpowered the rest of the flavours a little, but it's still an enjoyable beer #belgoohoho #winterbeer #belgianbeer #Christmasbeer #brouwerijbelgoo

Wednesday I had the pleasure and privilege to visit Mouterij Dingemans in Stabroek (Antwerpen). We got an extended tour and saw every corner of this malting factory that celebrates their 150th anniversary this year. In the photos you can see the factory, the grain silos outside, the newer buildings and the malting process, from the steeping of the grains, the germination, the drying and roasting but also the laboratory where they extensively test all the incoming grains to see what the success rate of the malting will be. We ended the tour with a tasting of the delicious beers that were specially brewed for the anniversary. What a beautiful day! Wilde Terf blend 22/23 (6.9%) by Brouwerij 3Fonteinen (Beersel) in collab with Brasserie de la Senne (Brussels). Belgoohoho hoppy winterbeer (8%) brewed by Brouwerij Belgoo in Sint-Pieters-Leeuw (Belgium). This orange golden winter ale was brewed with orange peel. The orange zest is quite present and gives the malty base a nice freshness and makes it an easy drinking beer, despite the 8% alcohol.
