Witz blanche/ wheat beer (4%) brewed by Brasserie de la Senne in Brussels.
New recipe and a very nice new label, much more in style with the brewery's other beers. New to this upgraded recipe is lactic fermentation. The result is a slightly sour wheat beer, with some zesty notes and a bitter and grainy finish. Easy drinking and great for the warm and sunny days.

Monk's Cafe Grand Cru (5.5%) brewed by Brouwerij Vansteenberge in Ertvelde near Gent (Belgium)
This Flemish sour ale, or old brown, is both sweet and mildly sour. It has notes of sweet malts, raisins and red fruit and is quite delicious!

Nice thirst quenching beer full of fruity hops, with a good tropical and citrus aroma, and a proper long lasting bitterness.

Had a great afternoon at Triggerfish Brewery in Somerset-West. Such a lekker place with a great outdoor terrace, but also indoors there is a lot of space. (Lots of events happening here.) They have been brewing since 2010 and are the second oldest craft brewery in the Cape Town area.
The beer list was extensive so lots to try😊I thoroughly enjoyed the Ocean Potion pale ale and the Englishman bitter. Definitely a brewpub to come back to!

Four guys started in 2019 with an idea to blend their own gueze… Seven years later they have a lot of barrels, a great location, their own gueze and quite a few other beautiful blends. Witz blanche/ wheat beer (4%) brewed by Brasserie de la Senne in Brussels.
New recipe and a very nice new label, much more in style with the brewery's other beers. New to this upgraded recipe is lactic fermentation. The result is a slightly sour wheat beer, with some zesty notes and a bitter and grainy finish. Easy drinking and great for the warm and sunny days.

Monk's Cafe Grand Cru (5.5%) brewed by Brouwerij Vansteenberge in Ertvelde near Gent (Belgium)
This Flemish sour ale, or old brown, is both sweet and mildly sour. It has notes of sweet malts, raisins and red fruit and is quite delicious!

Had a great afternoon at Triggerfish Brewery in Somerset-West. Such a lekker place with a great outdoor terrace, but also indoors there is a lot of space. (Lots of events happening here.) They have been brewing since 2010 and are the second oldest craft brewery in the Cape Town area.
The beer list was extensive so lots to try😊I thoroughly enjoyed the Ocean Potion pale ale and the Englishman bitter. Definitely a brewpub to come back to!
